In 2020, when 77-year-old Nancy receives a letter from an old flame, her world is turned upside down. Why is he getting in touch again now? And can she trust him?
Back in 1964, 21-year-old Nancy runs away to Paris and gets a job in an English bookshop. But is the bookshop all that it seems? And will she keep her promise not to get romantically involved while she's in France?
Best friends Em and Lucy, and Em’s adventure-seeking boss, Nancy, are back in this heartwarming second chance rom com sequel to Be More Lucy.
Set in 1964 and 2020 in the English West Midlands, Paris and the fictional small town of Dashford-on-Sea in North Devon, Be Less Panda is a feel-good story of the resilience of love and friendship across the years. Whether you’re new to their world or a returning reader, this novel promises a fast-paced story filled with secrets and laughter.
Although this is book 3 in the Dashford Comedies series, you can read it as a standalone novel.

I loved this book so much! I love the previous Dashford books, and it was great to learn a bit more about Nancy. You don't need to have read the previous two books in order to read this one, but I would highly recommend doing so!
This one is a little different as it is set between 1964 and 2020, but it is very clearly split and easy to follow, so there is no need to worry about jumping back and forth too frequently like some books with dual timelines. The chapters are short too if that is something that is preferred for readers.
If you have read the previous books, you will be familiar with Em and Lucy. We do get a glimpse of them both in this one, but the storyline is focused on Nancy. It was really great to hear about her time in Paris when she was in her twenties, and she has still not lost her sense of adventure now!
I'm glad that she made the decision that she did when she received the letter as it definitely gave me the answer that I needed from all those years ago lol, and I think Nancy also needed that answer too. I found that I was reading it quicker and quicker towards the end as I was so invested, I just needed to find out!
It's a great book with some laugh-out-loud moments as well as some serious touches too. I love Suzanne's writing style and I'm now waiting patiently with my fingers crossed for there to be a book number four in the series.
