Love and Other Cages by Emilia Ares ~ Review & Blog Tour

Writer's picture: HalesHales

In the intricate dance of fate, Mina, a diligent high school senior, is abruptly torn from her ordinary life by an underground criminal organization, thrusting her into an unfamiliar and challenging world. Oliver, a man who has recently emerged from the shadows of abandonment, grapples with the harsh reality of Mina's abduction. The unexpected loss of their intense love jeopardizes Oliver's newfound hope for a better life, even as their extraordinary connection ignites amid peril and enigma.

Can Oliver and Mina rewrite destiny's script? Is the radiant beacon of their blossoming connection bright enough to guide them through a world steeped in uncertainty? Or will they forever wander as seekers of the elusive symphony of joy?

I loved this book! I haven’t read the first book in the series but I don’t feel that it mattered however I will be going back to read it as I really enjoyed this one! I loved the writing style, pacing and drama!

I really liked our main characters Mina and Oliver and you could tell that they had both been through things in the past but it wasn’t clear at first what they were. We do find out more as the storyline goes on which is good as it helps to fill those gaps and just makes you like the characters even more.

The storyline itself was pacy and I just didn’t know what was going to happen next. It was action packed but nothing was rushed within it. There were times when I thought one of them may not make it (both at separate times!) as there were things happening.

I found that as Mina’s part in the storyline developed it just got more and more intriguing and I found that I couldn’t stop reading as I really needed to know where it was heading and I can honestly say that I was not expecting it!! The ending just blew my brain!! Please tell me that there is another one in the series??
