Review & Blog Tour ~ Be More Octopus by Suzanne Lissaman

Writer's picture: HalesHales

Is hitting a handsome professor with a vacuum cleaner a good way to start a new relationship? Em doesn't think so. But she's not looking for a new man, or is she?

When Em discovers that her fiancé’s having an affair, she leaves her stressful call centre job, packs up her paints and easel and moves to the coast to build a better life on her own. But her new life becomes more complicated when a charming professor, Jack Carver, arrives for a holiday. Who’s he avoiding? And what do Jack and Em have in common?

Set in Birmingham, London and the fictional town of Dashford in North Devon, 'Be More Octopus' is an entertaining, friends-to-lovers romantic comedy following the twists and turns of Em and Jack’s love lives with lots of 'will they, won't they?' moments.

I loved this book, I literally laughed out loud so much at parts! I loved our main character Em and enjoyed the storyline of how she ended up at Dashford and what she discovered there!

Well written and I found that the pages just flowed and I read it so quickly, I did want to know if her and Jack made int as an item too which helped the reading speed! I liked the fact that we got to learn more about the other characters in the book such as Lucy, Em's best friend and Nancy who Em works for.

I thought the descriptions were beautiful, not just of the scenery but also of Em's paintings too. I also must say that Em's ex is an absolute jerk! There were some really great scenes throughout the book which were really fun to read, this book is a great pick me up if your feeling a little down.

I'm glad to know that I will get to hear more from them as there is a book two already out! If you'd like to grab a copy then you can do so here #Aff
