FREDDIE WINTERS IS BACK
Sun, sea and books. It should be the perfect relaxing getaway. Until the bodies start piling up…
When crime writer Freddie Winters finds himself invited to a luxurious writers’ retreat in Spain, all he wants to do is sit by the pool, get drunk and ignore all the amateur writers he’s supposed to be teaching. But then someone starts killing off the other authors. And before he knows it, Freddie is the prime suspect.
To clear his name, and save his own life, Freddie has to put his detective skills to work once again.
Perfect for fans of Richard Osman, this hilarious new murder mystery will keep you guessing and laughing to the end.
I loved this book!! Our main character Freddie Winters is just so funny - however he really doesn’t mean to be - or try to be!! This is book 2 in the Freddie Winters series, I have not read the first one, but I am absolutely going back to read it! I didn't find that it mattered that I hadn't read the first one, but I feel that I need to go and read it as I really like Freddie and I also love the authors writing style.
I really loved the setting of this book - an author’s / writers retreat in sunny Spain - what could go wrong? I thought the storyline was great and although I did have an inkling who our murderer was it wasn't until midway through and then I wasn't 100% sure as there could have been other possibilities. And there was twists along the way that I didn't see coming and through curveballs at me!
I thought the book flowed really well and I couldn't believe how quickly I read through it - it did help that I was that engrossed I felt that I couldn't put it down! I'm hoping that there is a book 3 that will be coming so that we can hear more from Freddie.
