Eighteen passengers. Seven stops. One killer.
In the early hours of Christmas Eve, the sleeper train to the Highlands is derailed, along with the festive plans of its travellers. With the train stuck in snow in the middle of nowhere, a killer stalks its carriages, picking off passengers one by one. Those who sleep on the sleeper train may never wake again.
Can former Met detective Roz Parker find the killer before they kill again?
All aboard for . . . Murder on the Christmas Express.

I loved this book! I mean who doesn't love a Christmas train journey, snow and a side of murder?! It kept me guessing right until the end.
I found that I couldn't put this book down. I instantly took a liking to our main character Roz, who has a LOT going on!! But it's okay as she is recently retired and heading home for Christmas - what can go wrong?
I seemed to be drawn in very quickly with this book, you could just tell from the outset that there was a lot that was going to happen within its pages! It gathered momentum and even though the train de-railed the drama did not stop!

There was many times where I was like 'omg - no' as the storyline developed and some of the twists and turns were very unexpected - right up until the end. I had no clue who was responsible - or why, but that was all revealed very cleverly.
I must say that I thought the descriptions of the surroundings in the Scottish mountains were really well done - described beautifully yet did not detract from the storyline - if anything I definitely think the descriptions helped t9o enhance it. (And also makes me want to visit a snowy Scotland on a sleeper train - without the murder though!)
I liked the fact that we also found out more about Roz and her daughter Heather, within the book as well as Roz's mum who has recently passed away. And if your mouth waters every time that Scottish tablet is mentioned within the book then you are in for a treat as there is a recipe for it at the end of the book too! You can grab a copy here #Aff
