Jimmy Wayne is headed for LA to make the new album that will hopefully make him a star. In a quiet, deserted canyon a few miles outside Blackjack lie the bodies of his victims who inspired each song - all his secrets are buried in that dry and arid ground. Can he leave his past behind or will the ghosts of his past come back to haunt him?

I loved this book!! This is book two in the series however I did not read book one reading this one, and I don't think that it mattered. (I will however be heading straight back to read book one).
Our main character is Jimmy, and even though I'm not exactly sure that we should like him as he is definitely a bit 'dodgy' to say the least! I found that he was a really likeable character. I really enjoyed reading the story of him getting back into the studio and on stage and everything else that happened along the way!
I think that the writing style was really good and I love the fact that the 'supporting' characters are really well developed and help to enhance the story, and at times give some laughs along the way!
I found that I couldn't put the book down as I was so engrossed in Jimmy's life and needed to find out what was going to happen next. I'm looking forward to going back and reading book one and then I have book three to look forward to!
I was reading the book as part of a read along and I also loved the addition of the questions to answer throughout the book (Highlight on IG @hales2385 if you would like to check out the Q&A)
Huge Thank you to Love Books Tours, Guy Hale & Whitefox Publishing for allowing me to take part in this readalong.
