Review ~ On The First Day of Christmas by Faith Hogan

Writer's picture: HalesHales

This Christmas, everything will change...

When Liv Latimer says goodbye to her fellow nurses and finishes work for the holidays, she's looking forward to a Christmas to remember with her boyfriend Eddie.

But as she leaves the hospital, tragedy strikes and Liv is faced with a choice. Will she ignore her instincts and go home as planned? Or will she stay, and potentially change the course of her life as she knows it?

Whatever choice she makes, Liv is about to discover that fate finds a way...

Wowzers! I loved this story. It did blow my brain a little bit when I started reading but as soon as I realised why I thought it was a brilliant idea!

I did feel sorry for Liv as you could just tell that Eddie was not good and didn't care that much about her - or anything from the sounds of it! I loved how we learned about Liv's backstory and her sister Rachel and also why Pete was so close too, if I'm honest as I started to read I thought that Liv & Pete were a couple until I carried on reading.

I loved how the story unfolded and really hoped that Liv could find someone better than Eddie, was that what she wanted though? I'm glad that she saw sense and I feel like there were a couple of signs within the story that were very cleverly intertwined.

The ending had me like - just what?? I was NOT expecting it to end the way it did - however, I must say that it was beautiful and also brilliant. I had my copy of the book for a couple of months but waited until Christmas to read it as I wanted to get into the festive spirit (and my TBR pile was HUGE!!) This book was perfect for that!

If you'd like to grab a copy the you can get one here #Aff
