Saunas, love and a ladleful of murder…
A cold-blooded killer strikes at the hottest moment: the new head of a sauna-stove company is murdered … in the sauna. Who has turned up the temperature and burned him to death?
The evidence points in the direction of Anni Korpinen – top salesperson and the victim’s successor at Steam Devil.
And as if hitting middle-age, being in a marriage that has lost its purpose, and struggling with work weren’t enough, Anni realizes that she must be quicker than both the police and the murderer to uncover who is behind it all – before it’s too late…
I loved this book however, I will be dubious about having a sauna again!!! I'm only joking but it is crazy to think that within this book the murders were revolving around the saunas. I liked our main character Anni and I felt really sorry for her as although the evidence was pointing to her, it wasn't her that was committing the murders.
I honestly wasn't sure who the murderer was as they all had potential motive and at times they all seemed to be hiding things - even Anni's husband! I liked the fact that it wasn't clearly obvious and that there were 'clues' pointing towards different people that kept me guessing.
There were times that scenes really made me laugh, especially things like the elk in the middle of the murder interview! I thought that the characters were really well written and Anni's husband was honestly in another world at times with his racing! I thought that the translation was done really well, sometimes when books have been translated they don't come across quite right but this was really brilliant.
